International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

I was born in Meishan, Sichuan and lived there until I left to go to university. I started working at CDIS right after graduation. Later I got a Chinese teaching certificate in Chemistry. I think science is a lot of fun. It’s also very interesting to work in an international school because the Chinese educational system is quite different from the western system. I have learned a lot and have enjoyed using elements of each system in ways that are beneficial to students. I like to travel and play tennis.
