International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

I was born and raised in the United states in the southern city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. After graduating from high school, I went to Lee University where I studied Classical Humanities with an emphasis on the Roman Empire in Late Antiquity. After graduating I married my wife Mary, and we move to Dongguan, China and taught at an International School for two years. Since then we have moved to Chengdu and are excited to be working alongside the awesome staff at Chengdu International School. For fun, you may find me, will find me, playing ping pong, throwing a Frisbee, reading books, or exploring the many facets of the city.
