I am the descendant of Irish potato farmers who immigrated to North America in the 19th century and eventually settled in the northeast corner of the United States, where I was born and raised. I have always enjoyed the international experience, spending part of my growing up years in Australia, where my parents lived for 20 years. Before moving to China I worked in social work and alternative education in the city of Philadelphia, where I met and married my wife. We now have five children and enjoy living and working in China. In my spare time, I love reading, sports, and spending time with my wife and kids. I feel privileged to be an educator and consider it a joy to work with the incredible students and staff that we have at Chengdu International School.
