International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

I was born in the USA, in Michigan, and then grew up in Wyoming and Illinois, returning to Michigan for college. I taught ESL for five years in Chongqing, Hebei Province, and Taiwan at the university and Elementary levels. After that, I enjoyed teaching international students at Morrison Academy in Taipei, Taiwan for eight years. Since 2015 I have enjoyed teaching Science at CDIS, especially Chemistry and Physics. I met my wife, Erin, in East Asia, and we have three two children who attend CDIS and a third who comes to Panda Playgroup on Mondays.
