International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

I grew up in the northwest of the United States, enjoying the beautiful mountains and clear rivers. In the U.S., I was Community Health Coordinator at a retirement facility; then I was an adjunct professor of nursing; and finally I worked for the public health department to help prepare for public health emergencies. In 2009, my family and I moved to China, and I've been the lead school nurse at CDIS since 2014. I also teach the High School health class at CDIS. I really love being a nurse and helping our CDIS students and families have healthier lives!
