International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

Nelson Arul

I began teaching in 2004 after a 14-year-long career in Engineering. I completed my B.Sc. in Mathematics at Vinayaka Missions University in India, where I am from, and a B.Ed. in Math and Physics at Bangalore University. Currently this is my 14th year in the teaching fraternity. I joined Chengdu International School in 2016, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I love being part of a teaching staff that provides such creative, engaging and immersive learning experiences for the children in our school. Outside of school, I still enjoy learning and take every opportunity to visit historical places. I am also a food lover and try my best to replicate and innovate recipes, with varying degrees of success.
