International Schools Consortium

International Schools Consortium (iSC) is a nonprofit organization that, since 1986, has offered excellent academic programs to meet the intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of students. iSC has six schools in China — in Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Tianjin, and Yantai — one school in the UAE, and helps to support various other educational initiatives globally. iSC is a multi-school program, enabling students and teachers to participate in system-wide programs where they can interact with others outside of their immediate school. Students compete in basketball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, as well as music and choral festivals, and Model United Nations (MUN) conventions.

Stephani Clouser

I am from Indiana in the northern Midwest of the U.S., but I have spent most of my adult life living and working in China. I studied English Secondary Education so that I could be prepared to teach English in Chinese universities. After several years of teaching in Jiangsu and Anhui Provinces and in America, I got an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. From 2001-2003, I lived in Changchun, Jilin Province, where I studied Chinese language full-time. During my 15 years in Changsha, Hunan, I taught high school students, university students, home-schooled my own two daughters and even taught Chinese to some Americans. Two years ago, I returned to Indiana and taught ELL in a middle school where I learned how fun it is to work with middle school students. I am certified to teach high school English, K-12 ELL and middle school Language Arts, but my favorite group of students to see daily are the middle school ELL students.
