Although not required, the flu vaccination is highly recommended to help protect yourself and your family. The flu vaccination is available locally in China, usually sometime in October.
Please help us to maintain a safe and healthy environment at school by not sending your child to school if they are ill, have a severe cough, fever at or above 37.3˚C (99.1˚F), a rash related with illness such as chicken pox or measles, or have vomited or had diarrhea from sickness in the past 24 hours. Your child must be fever free for 24 hours without any fever reducing medication to return to school.
If your child will be absent from school due to illness, please contact the divisional principal assistant to report their absence. Thank you.
MAP Testing Announcement: Each Fall CDIS students in kindergarten-10th grade take the MAP Growth test. Our Fall test dates are October 19-30.
We give students MAP Growth tests to determine each student’s instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year (and from year to year) in Reading, Math, and Language. These tests help us better understand where each student is at so we can best support them and encourage them toward their academic goals.
There is no need to study for the MAP Growth test. However, it is important to make sure that your child is well rested on school days and especially the day of a test. Children who are tired are less able to pay attention in class or handle the demands of a test. In addition, please give your child a well-rounded diet. A healthy body leads to a healthy, active mind.
