Each month at CDIS we study one of the ISC9 qualities which we want to instill in our students as a way to encourage them to be transformed from the inside out. The character quality we’ve studied for the month of September is the word connection. We’ve learned about the importance of connection in our character education lessons, in our weekly assemblies and in our conversations with students.
Our elementary students have been introduced to the importance of valuing culture, language, collaboration and building relationships as a means to build and maintain connections. We’ve talked about the importance of making new friends and maintaining health relationships. We can use your help as parents to help reinforce these important concepts. We would encourage you to take some time this week to ask your students about what it means to be connected at CDIS and why this an important trait for their lives.
